I m frustrated, i just lost a game that I was winning, my timer was 19mns, the oponent 1mn, got disconnected by server one more time, it is happening to often, chess.com must correct those unpredicted lost of connection

I do not think chess.com can make your ISP/ DSL line less lousy.

But chess.com could make the reconnect process more efficient...

Not that I have this problem, just stating the opposite truth to your lousy one liner (even if it is a valid).

My ping times on chess.com, even at peak hours, is always under 100ms, which is next to excellent. So, it's clearly not the chess.com server(s) the ones to blame.

i think it is not problem with server,but here there is one thing that chess.com has to improve.

if i have 20 min remaining and opponent have only 1 min at that time if i disconnected and and after some time if i reconnect i can see that opponent win.so here chess.com have to provide minimum some time in such situation...

chess.com have to give more time to reconnect.atleast 1 min,what i mean even if i reconnect game should not abort.

There are lots of factors other than ping times. The program that controls how reconnects are handled has logic that determines how often it will retry etc etc. I think you're right and the OP's internet provider is probably much more at fault, but your initial reply dismissed his concerns without any indication that you truly understand his complaint.

Of course, he should be opening a support ticket rather than complaining here...

The time to reconnect is much more than 1 minute. Just last night I had to wait out 3 minutes of time on my opponent's clock because he so sportsmanly disconnected when it was 1 move to mate. It is a balance between being fair and avoiding the bad apple...

@chrispret

your right.there is a problem here that some people will use it.when opponent is mate in 1 move he/she may disconnect that time it is a problem.but other cases chess.com have to improve.....................

I was two moves from checkmate more than 15minutes in my clock, 3 in my oponnent. Reconnecting screen and no more match after that. ouch!
