friday afternoon lost all games again - almost to 100 again will start a couple more 24 hours games see how they go
Hey lost. well, I have improved to 559. from a 377. I play mostly 1 opening with black one with white. Solid openings with aggressive attack methods. again, I play 30 min. games. in ten min games I timed out a lot. but I also enjoy the wins more than the losses. I like watching my rating go up. I also took some advice from some of the notes that have been written previously in here. Looking to hit 600 tonight.
well good luck to you from 377 (i only could dream to be there) then to 559 --sounds like your are making that big push from beginner to at least understanding the game some what --- very good to you - - great to see someone here at least make improvements -- maybe you could tell me your secret or at least your work pattern ???????
sat afternoon three losses one win back to 100 again -- most of 24 hour games are still going i am running deep in some of them still hope first win there --- maybe ???
Want to have a daily game for sparring? I can make it an educational experience, comment your moves in between and give advice in the chat.
ok that sounds like an idea that i need to do - after my next 24 hour is over i will hook up with you i could use the help
thank-you for your thoughts
i am finding playing the 24 hours games so much more less stressful -- even though i haven't won a legit game yet - its still such a challenge when i play to go deep against higher rated players before i lose -- so thats a good thing for me -plus i think some of the better players give me helpful tips during the games i find so great as i learn much better that way -my meds are starting to kick in early tonight -- and coffee won't keep me awake any more against these meds so off to la la land bye all
well back to 24 hour game today--- see how i do started a new one got to get deep before i get creamed
My advice to you is to stop playing bullet and blitz and emphasize slow, methodical play in rapid format–preferably with increment.
Ask yourself this question everytime you and your opponent move: what does this move accomplish? Chess is all about plans–implementing yours and stifling those of your opponent. But to do so requires you understand the ideas in the position. This takes time, thought and focus, none of which bullet or blitz offers. Build your intuition on a solid foundation and then move on to faster time controls.
Daily is also good for building repertoires and exploring uncommon variations, but improvement really requires continuity of thought and experience. It's very easy to forget what your ideas are when there can be up to 24 hours between moves.
Think about building muscle in a gym–you need to perform your repetitions slowly, carefully, and with continuity or your improvement will be unoptimal. You won't build muscle if you only do one rep a day.
makes a lot of sense -- presently iam playing about 10- 24 hours games a day i think thats enough ofr now as i about few hours have to go through them all and make my next move moves of these games are running about the same time frame so i am on with three moves of each other games so i can see what i did in one game then the next game then the next and usually i pick up on mistakes since i only have one move to study then to play then stop and move on to the next game i finding this making me more board aware and so far seems to be getting me deeper into games than i was playing before mind you still no honest wins but iam sure if i keep going this way i will improve to at least take one game -- i mainly playing players from 350 to mainly 650 to as high as 1200 so winning right now is the furthest thing from my thoughts -- getting to 40 moves constantly in each game is my goal for now -- but thanks for the thoughts on my play
wondering while play my 24 hour games -- time to think i guess maybe to much
but do i have to change my flag when donald trump makes us and greenland the 51 and 52 state
how does one know when your opponent is using the knight fork thing during his first couple of moves and come down and put me to lose my castle or my queen - it seems to happen more and more to me now - i soon realizes i lose those games about four moves later or so - i tried to do that knight thing it never ever works for me -- - advice not needed - this is just comment about how really stupid iam playing this game - it seems only to happen in my 3 min games never in my 24 hour games ---- hummmmmmmm wonder why?
look again liytv. what I basically said was have fun at it.
