I played a blitz 3 minutes then i lost because i figured that i'm only 2 moves away from being mated so i hit the resign button but to my surprise the uporight rectangular bar that would appear only showed that my opponent won by resignation and no numerical stuff indicating rating reduction..You can check it out on my game archive my initial fight with prosta4ek8 then MiguelAngel77..My rating stayed the same! Amazing!

The game was unrated, that's why there was no rating change.

Martin if you look at his games you will see that it is in fact rate 3 minutes blitz..Can't you see their ratings? hes ratin did not change from winning 1962 to losing and still 1962..

Ohh... so that's what unrated means!

You're gaining one whole solitary single point every time you beat ComputerEASY, so what would you care? Smile

Not true... sometimes when the computer's rating is high I gain 2!

More amazing is that you noticed. Must mean a lot to you. Hope it does not happen again.

But, now macer knows what unrated means, so that should make you get over it quicker.

I did not know that!!! I could have gained 2000+ years ago

After a certain point you can only play the computer when it has a fairly high rating, otherwise you get +0. To gain rating points against the computer at 2000+, you would need to have an extremely high glicko rd, and only play the computer when its rating is abnormally high.

but gaining rating from a computer isnt fun, right?

I disagree.

It can't be much fun when you win 15 games for 15 points, then lose one, and those 15 points evaporate into thin air. Smile

Then you have to make sure that you don't lose that one. It creates a challenge, which makes playing the computer more fun.
