Losing on time is a good thing because it shows you're really interested in doing the work that is analyzing a position.

No, it isn't. Making your moves quickly and correctly is far better, for it demonstrates that you either know exactly where to move instantly, or you've grown good at pattern recognizing. It often is the case that people who lose on time are not analyzing, they are stalling. I know this to be true that 3 out of every 5 (Or so) games I've played where my opponenet lost on time, I would switch to their profile and see comments such as: "Started taking longer and longer to move and disconected when losing was inevitable..." -Lavilove- "loser and time waster. Doesn't know how to resign" -jrakkam1- "chauchesku: you wasted a bazillion years trying to make a move talking about time. Turns out, wasn't a waste of time for me. Your second game was a riot! Good luck with your wives there."-woodman125- That's it for now.

If you want to analyze positions don't play fast time controls. If you are playing a slow time control game and lose on time it is a matter of bad time management .

Losing on time shows that you have no clue about time management.
