low iq chess

Making stuff up. And calling it facts. Onlne chess below 2000 has mostly low iq individuals prove it, majority of online chess players are those two grops prove it.

Another thread about low IQ, mental issues etc
And the OP is the One who's gonna save chess from extinction

Define low IQ. If you mean below 100 your original comment reflects your low IQ.
Yes, below 100 sorry to hear you are below 100 but I am not in that boat.

That's the forums being spammed - you really think most of the games here are legit?

Funny. How many low IQ people score 99 percentile in math on standardized tests?

forums being forums. don't connect to chess population, usually it is spammed by children, and vauable threads are banned by "being political". the quality of threads is worse than 4chan. (tbh 4chan has much more quality threads than most social platforms except Lainchan and niche forums like zadania.info)
faking games? you realize how hard would it be? it would be painfully obvious if games where fake. especially at low level

I think presenting things as such is completely flawed... though it's an interesting starting point for a discussion...
Intelligence has so many different aspects... In chess, it's often linked to mathematics, logical thinking and abstraction, but that's not what makes someone clever.
How would you qualify someone who is not especially gifted at maths, has difficulty reaching, say, 1200 elo, but speaks 5 languages (difficult ones, from various linguistic groups) and learns even more?
And someone with very good social skills? The kind of person that can read a room, make friends with anyone and negotiate anything with anyone?
So correlating chess "strength" with IQ is very biased.
Not even starting a debate about IQ measurement...

I can't be sure about what my iq is in chess
Chess could probably be a way to measure some facets or aspects of intelligence in an IQ test.

From what I have seen there is also a correlation between being good at chess and total ineptitude in social interactions.

Chess is all about memory, speed chess 99 percent. Just go on youtube, look at Hikaru playing puzzle rush or hyperbullet and tell me he's analysing the positions and thinking. OBVIOUSLY he's not. He simply knows. He remembers

Ignorant take, you ignored the process for gaining pattern regonision. You have to train problem solving skills and take a lot of time to get where he is

And what do you think pattern recognition is, genius. Memory of course. It's a memory test. Yes, it takes a lot of time to get there, because you need some good and bad experience to work with

Chess strength correlates more strongly with deliberate practice than with raw IQ. Especially at sub-elite levels (under 2000), motivation, exposure, and training play a far bigger role.
Online chess below 2000 elo has mostly low iq individuals and the the two groups are Cheaters and dirty flaggers.
With cheaters it’s obviously there is a mental defect that prevents them from improving. Dirty flaggers are those that play very poor moves but are able to move at incredible speeds.
I think the majority of online chess players if you call them that are from these two groups and therefore belong to the low iq category.
The real players incl me are average to higher iqs but are a minority and are swamped by other 2 groups.
Therefore I propose correlation btw low iq and online chess.
Sad but true
