Lower rating after being employed?

Anyone else had this happen to them before?

Before I got employed, I was essentially unemployed for some of the  longest times in past years, I felt kinda free, like massive freedom and I could do and dream about doing things on my own time, and felt very motivated to becoming good at certain things which  included chess. I could focus better and think better and more clearly too.

As soon as I got an email from a company wanting to hire me, since that day, my blitz rating dropped almost 200 points out of nowhere and I am struggling to win even when I try so hard to focus. It's like my brain is constantly worrying about my job now, even when I am home from work or off days like weekends, I still cannot win and get back to my original higher rating.

Thoughts?

Yeah, it’s normal. When your thoughts shift from all focusing on chess to having many priorities, you might have trouble focusing on the game. Alternatively, you could just be experiencing normal chess plateau or rating slump.

I might be able to help:
