Lucas Chess: difference between Opening Lines and Custom Openings?

I want to take lines from a Chessable Jobava course, put them into Lucas Chess, and tell it to play only those lines. Looking at the (rather sparse) documentation, it seemed that creating a custom opening might be the way to go. Now, I'm not so sure. I made a test opening, but it didn't show up in the main list of openings.
I'm wondering if I should use the Opening Lines menu to add every line from the course underneath the Rapport-Jobava System. The problem there is that it assumes the starting moves are 1.d4 d5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Bf4, whereas there are several alternatives for Black's second move.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
