At least with sharks you see the red and white before they bite.

With Macheath though, he never lets you see the knife before the strike.

Who's that coming around the corner? Could it be *gulp* Mac the Knife?

Run!!!!!!

RonaldJosephCote

Ok, I'll let it go. I just thought I'd give my PET thread a break. nervous.png Batgirl I'll delete it if you wish my lady. But let me just say as I make my exit that as point of musical fact, Bobby Darin was the only man that Frank Sinatra was afraid of. He didn't want to follow him on stage.       Tomorrow night's entertainment-------KISSsurprise.png            same bat-time, wink.png  same bat-threadwink.png

are your "jokes" so great you think you ought to trash this formerly nice thread?

RonaldJosephCote

There's no joking about Bobby Darin. He's a class act. Also, I did say that if the OP wants them deleted---I WILL delete them.

Get over it.   And yourself.

It's posted in the forums.  Comments happen.   Nothing untoward was done to the original post and no one if forced to read past it.

Stop over reacting to modern internetting.

Sure, lets have everyone rally around your values Undecided

Why can't you recognize a thread that's worth something to most or many here and think it should be respected enough to not trash it?

Just post somewhere else, dude.

Including your orders to anyone to get over what you think they ought to get over.

Yeah, that means don't post here.

RonaldJosephCote

Richie & Oprah I got this. Lets be nice. He's "new" here and not aware of my musical background. In post 32,  Bobby is singing "4 once in my life"  but the band is playing a SANTANA tune--"Everybody's Everything". Hell of an arrangement.   BTW, Mr Oval.  What did you want to post that was either Chess oriented or entertainment oriented?

Bellerophontis

Ronald you are Amazing!                            Monday 10 a.m. Greek time

There will never be a Blue Monday with you SmileCool

RonaldJosephCote

hmmmm...... That's a tough one.  Feces falling from your eyes.  Oh wait! I think Bobby has recorded "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes".  I'll post it when batgirl does a thread on feces.wink.png

LOL .. Ron, you are ok in my book. And a nice human bean ta boot.  wink.png

With more than 3,000 old 45s from that period I'm a bit of 1950s Rock and Roll nut with particular penchants for doo wop and rockabilly (the old stuff, not modern neo-rockabilly). Of Bobby Darin's corpus 'Splish Splash' is my particular fave, though I also like 'Queen of the Hop'. As for 'Blue Monday', however, Smiley Lewis's and Fats Domino's versions knock Bobby's into a cocked hat, I'm afraid.

Trifunovic? Bobby Darin? You know what, batgirl? You're alright.

Ron is in Ma. . ,  I'm sure he is well aware my play on words was meant as an endearment. It had nothing to do with anyone's nationality,  Period. I never bring up someone's country to express something here. I believe that to be divisive in itself, Just like a wall. Thank you for your opinion.

Bellerophontis

You are a very good friend and I always want to remember you for your kind ways Cool

Thanks Belle

Bobby Darin was one of my father's favourites and this forum brought memories like Sunday mornings in Athens by the fireplace, playing chess together listening to Bobby Darin 'more" than the greatest love the world has known   Cool

I was excited this morning to listen to all the songs Ron has posted and I felt so nice mostly because I could feel Ronald's love & enthusiasm.

Thank you Ron, once moreSmile

I've read that Elvis had the same type of uneasy relationship with Roy Orbison.
