Just give me a Rybka and I'm sure I could hang in there
Magnus Carlsen

I just picked up the DVD of great wrestlers of the 50's and 60's.....I was a big fan of former wrestling champ Buddy (nature boy) Rogers...he used the figure four leglock as a submission hold..... i enjoyed the video of Buddy Rogers defeating then world champion Pat O'Connor, in 2 out of 3 falls......, to become the new world champion.......perhaps i have digressed too much here....all this talk of who can "beat" who...my mind drifted.....just thinking outloud here.......

We all have seen 10 year old and 13 year old kids beat the best of the best GM's?
No, those kids never beat super Gms, and in most cases not even GMs, it's usually experts, tops.

Either that or a future Super GM beating the ordinary ones.

"http://www . academicchess.org/ratings/ageandmaster . shtml"
Liina and Eric left out Paul Morphy who, at age 12, beat Lowenthal; Botvinnik who, at age 12, drew against Capablanca in a simul during the Moscow Tournament of 1925; Elaine Saunders (Pritchard) who, at age 12, beat Rudolph Speilmann in a simul game during the Margate tournament of 1938.

Most of the top players are computer users. Computers (Rybka, Fritz, Shredder etc.) can beat any grandmaster in a match assuming they have good hardware. Rybka was playing and winning Odds matches against titled players.

You're thinking of Magnet Carlsen. Yeah he's terrible.
Idk if your talking about Magnus or Magnet? but still..
3 Months later.. you still think hes terrible after you found out hes being trained by Kasparov? That he beat Topalov? That he got an impressive 4.5/5 in the first half of the tournament, that he was the only person that won a game (he won 4 games) in the first half of the tournament? That he is playing like rybka with over 3100+ performance rating?

Carlsen is the best he can beat Kasporov
We may never know.. If Kasparov was at his peak and so was Carlsen it would be really tight..
Carlsen is still young though, give him 5 years and we;ll see! It is WAY to early to tell if hes gonna be the best in the world.

it's funny when NOLAPUT tries to say semi-normal stuff and pretend like he hasn't acted like a retard for about 99% of his time here on chess.com

of course Carlsen will be able to beat Kasparov but when don't know. Kasparov will be getting out of shape soon but he is going strong and don't forget Carlsen is 28 years younger than Kasparov !

No one on this site can beat Magnus Carlson.
No one on this site could beat Kasparov and Carlson is Kasparov's new protoge'.
Their level of chess knowledge far exceeds the average palyer.

I think there is some missunderstanging with the ratings. Here on the site and there - no comparison.

Rofl a person rated 1088 thinks he can take on a super GM...hahahha
BTW ALL OF YOU ARE WRONG! OF COURSE SOMEONE ON CHESS.COM CAN BEAT MAGNUS CARLSEN! examples: pelger (2906 peak rating), Nostradamus70 (matches up with Rybka 3 a lot more than Carlsen can hope to), and ouachita (beat Bent Larsen)
Umm... All these guys have had their accounts closed.
Anyway, NOLAUPT, I think you're confusing online ratings with over-the-board elo ratings. No-one here comes close to his ability.
