Magnus Carlson a hard opponent to beat

Magnus carlson is a very intelligent chess player, I personally believe he prepares more than all the grandmasters. He opens with  undecided Knight on F3 that can be harrassed by a solid pawn centre. He slowly builds his position but its all part of his master plan, Carlson knows what you want to play and he prepares for it in the middle game. Carlson plays the opening like he does not know modern theory but reason for that its to psyche his opponents, then when you try to attack his weak opening, he does not jst crush you he destroys you. One of his greatest strength is that he does not need many peices around your king to checkmate. One day people will realise how strong carlson is, in an error whr chess engines are available to every chess player but carlson beats them. Long Live King Carlson.

It's Carlsen and I have no idea what you are on about

Carlsen has said that he has approx 10,000 master games memorized, so you can imagine what he's pondering when he's thinking about his next move. Also, more than other players, Carlsen is happy just to move his pieces to and fro, waiting for a chance. Contrast with Anand, who has stated that he himself desires to have his pieces 'doing something'. Of course, I'm just a patzer, but it does seem that Carlsen is easily the best player of all time, maybe just slightly ahead of Kasparov.

This is the most insightful, and possibly the most accurate assessment of Carlsens ability yet stated. I haven't read any one else clarify in such detail, Carlsens approach.
