I used free version when I was 1400 - 1600 rapid. Lessons were interesting and all kinds of puzzles & challenges definitely helped me to improve at every important part of chess game (pattern recognition, how to blunder less, openings, endgames, middlegames, tactics and what not) Strongly recommended. Only reason why I deleted it was lack of memory on my phone.

Puzzles and games with puzzles mostly, for example I know there is almost no chance at all for me to miss Anastasia mate because I have seen it there atleast five times per day, same goes for everything else when it comes to patterns
Is it just puzzles or some special technique?
I found the mind mirage thing interesting because it's a new technique and definitely need an engine for. I am not really sure if it helps with playing ability or not. I expect it does.

Last time I used Magnus trainer app was a long time ago so I forgot names of 'games' that helped me and how they worked. Maybe that even changed by now. I will check it out first time I get a chance and give you a feedback in DMs.
