Why Fritz 8? That's old. Also, even Magnus cannot beat a strong engine (not even Fritz 14, which is not the strongest engine available).

Fritz 8 was released in 2003. Deep Fritz 7 tied Kramnik in 2002 and X3D Fritz (which appears to be Deep Fritz 8) tied Kasparov in 2003, so presumably on strong hardware it would be a close match between Fritz 8 and Carlsen.
