Much has been written about the Sinquefield Cup Magnus vs. Hans game. Here is one perspective I have not seen pointed out. This site appears to calculate the odds of winning a chess game with a white rating of 2861 (Magnus) and a black rating of 2688 (Hans) as was their respective ratings at the start of that match. https://wismuth.com/elo/calculator.html#best_of=1&first_move=player1&rating1=2861&rating2=2688
Black wins 5.5 times out of 100 or once in 18 games. Long odds but not crazy odds. 39 out of 100 games are drawn.
