Main difference between a 2200 and 2300 rapid player

I just got 2300 today. The main thing is defending positions, in my opinion. In my last game, I beat an NM down a pawn, but I was able to defend and counterattack. A fide master told me, "When your opponents are attacking you and you defend every threat, they will most likely get upset and throw the game." That is a summarized version of what he said.
