Making a change of 'coach' setting persistent - i.e. remembered next login

I recently enquired about how to change my coach and was told go into settings then select the coach I want.  However I can't seem to find a way to make this change persistent across sessions.  There doesn't seem to be a save button and it doesn't seem to save my choice.  Next time I login then Nadia (the 1st coach) is always my coach again.

I use chess.com in my browser.  When I logout of chess.com and close my browser I have my history and cookies cleared.  When I next login to chess.com my 'coach' selection is not remembered.  I want it remembered.  Is there a way of doing this?

Once you choose the coach it should remain until you change it it's possible it's saved as a cookie option, so if you clear your cookies after a session that might reset to default.

Yes. It appears it is saved as a cookie because it does definitely reset when they are cleared. There is no save button which there is for other screens sometimes. I have raised it as an issue and requested it be changed so there is a way of saving. Just have to wait and see if they decide to make the change or not.

I started having this problem sometime in May, but the coach is chosen seemingly at random. Was it a recent change to use cookies to track coach setting? Why use cookies for something like this?
