I know what you mean. A couple weeks ago, I was having 'one of those days' at my local club. At least we make up for it by playing above ourselves from time to time.

Lol... welcome to my world... one thought though, if you are making beginner blunders you should probably not consider yourself the better player :P
I know what you mean-- just the other day I gave away a rook within the first few moves of the game.
Although, I'm not that great of a player.
Just done it again. Made an absolutely unforgiveable beginners type mistake, simply because I didn't check properly, and was in a hurry. (hurrying for no good reason either!!)
Just have to live with it, but so silly when you know that you are the better player:-/
