match making changes

Over the last 6 months, I’ve seen match making change drastically. I’ve seen reverse boosting. I played consistently 900-1100 for over a year, now ppl at 600-700 seem to understand advanced concepts and counter my openings perfectly. I call bs. Algorithm/matchmaking/boosting is ruining this platform

Player's rating are based on their past game history. If they are rated at 600-700 then they aren't playing that good and there are plenty of resources in the games, in most cases, that both players are missing, which is true at most levels.

Some lower rated players may be booked up on the openings, but once they get out of book and into a middlegame or endgame, they begin showing why their rating is what it is. Of course, it is possible there are players that have begun studying more are and on their way up and there are some that keep their rating low on purpose and are much stronger, though that isn't easy to combat (short of the more obvious cases). That said, those are in the minority.

The pairing algorithm only cares about matching compatible ratings together (with some connection type and sportsmanship considerations). The site isn't manipulating pairings.
