mating attack mindset

What is your mindset during the game when attacking the castled king?  I know we don't have perfect senses like grandmaster but we can try and hang on to our beloved reptile tail. So,  whether it is motivational speech you heard somewhere,  or is it new breakthrough in the thought process of your mind, or it is pure intuition so is skill and so on. I will love to hear you.

  1. If opponent castles kingside you castle queenside.
  2. try 2 trap the king @ the edge/corner of board
  3. try to reduce n.o of squares for king 2 escape

Did that help?

should attack before he make castling, or threatening the potential castling side

If it is a full-fledged attack, ie; where you risk everything, then you MUST consider all attacking moves against opponent's King until you find variation that yields results.........meaning to say if you purposely already sacrificed material for a breakthrough, something must be concrete to get thru.

If on the other hand, what is more typical,  material is equal, you may sense you can commit to aim your pieces at his King  without  falling behind, ie; you don't want to commit to a sequence of moves where your opponent easily defends and gains space / advantage on other parts of Board.

There is always a give and take / tension on the ChessBoard as both players maneuver for spatial and tactical advantages.    One has much to ponder in a game of chess !

That's why maybe i find it much easier to do thinking on a real board first time on it than mobile because eyes hurts on mobile.  After first time with knowledge of new  pattern recognition,  it do gets easier to deliver it on screen

here is an example of an attack against King where best player in the world at that time, sacrifices a piece for an unstoppable mating attack.......very famous, easy to follow game !   https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1233404

Terminator-T800

I think of it as if I want to smash his protection to pieces & rag him  by the scrawny neck

I try fishing pole on him, I beat people 100 ELO higher than me when I use it.

I have seen that game before. It is when fischer said it is weak move when morphy opponent played Bg4 to pin the knight to his king,  i had some doubt on fischer thought process. Because that's how you play chess. You create pin.  Isn't it?

In this game i did exactly what you said in the previous post.  i created diagonal threat and column threat. And i let my pawns roll and at the end of the variations, i won a whole rook.

the game you show where you eventually win a Rook could have similar Opening Idea -- to blast him open as the Morphy Game !    because Black wasted much precious time in the Opening with 3......h6 you correctly play 4 d4 for an open game.    You should consider 5 dxe to get at his King, ie; 5 .....Nxe5 6 Nxe5, dxe   7 Bxc4+ winning.   Or 5 dxe, dxe  6 Bxf7+  ( should take a long time when deciding to sacrifice Bishop )  Kxf7  7 Nxe5+ with a raging attack.

But what you are going to do if he Castle same side.

ABC_of_EVERYTHING

My  grandparents both from father and mother side are farmers. Our backward village in assam don't have landlord system. We were allowed to do agriculture on our own land peacefully without outside interference. We employed our own clans or siblings to plough on our field to feed ourselves. I don't know whether we were allowed to do business with others outside our village.  I suppose we were allowed. This is the story of our grandparents. Our clan don't have the tradition of being road beggars. So,  that kills one bird.  Also,  my father and mother are not alcoholic abuser. This kills another bird. This sums up my family history.

What I have deduce from this information is that i cannot handle attack nor deliver arrogance on a chess board  .  I just don't have the required genes.

I have decided to play exclusively sacrificial game to train myself in this phase. Hopefully,  it may work to stick to the GOD tail.
