I wonder how some people are able to memorize a chess game right after it was played. Anyone with any tips please? Thank you in advance.

Well I don't know about games right after they're played, but I do memorize games by World Champions.  Actually I stumbled upon this study technique playing through games in Capablanca's Best Chess Endings: 60 Complete Games   What happened was is I would play through the notes that would come up on move 15 or 25 or 35 or whatever.  Then I would set the board up from move one and start to play through the game again.

Soon I realized I was memorizing the first game, so I used the same technique with the next half dozen or so.  Then I played in a tournament and got a draw against a USCF master for the first time ever.  Some people may disagree with this technique, but actually the memorization goes easier if you actually understand the moves, which is really what I'm trying to achieve of course.

Good luck
