Men are better in chess than women

True. A bit of a generalisation, but true none the less. Yet they excel at other fields which would be less common for men to do well at, in my experience of elderly relatives most of the careers and nurses have been female.

But of course stereotypes and social confines change, and perhaps chess of the future may be dominated by women, you never know!

This site, however, is PC in its rules and is very anti-freedom of offending speech, as of course many people from all cultures are here, all who could be offended.

let's discuss Hou Yifan!  She's a great chess player and proof women can play at the top level.  Does she date non-asians?

JustOneUSer
What was that last bit?

I'm not saying women can't play top level- I'm saying there are less of them who do then men

I think that because of natural _ structural_ neurophysiological difference betwin men &women's brain... made this happen

scientifically, there are some women (very small percentage) who are biologically female, but they get a dose of the chemicals that turn the fetus' development into a male.  The effect is they have male type brains and a female body.  They tend to enjoy and excel at male dominated fields.  If the stars align, it's possible such a woman could be the best chess player in the world, but it wouldn't change the FIDE top 200 players rankings to a great degree.  It would be an exception and not the rule.

LOL!  Look at what the Profile Page of Superman0101  (who's been whining) has on it:

I'm not really sorry if I have offended any of your sensitive souls

I'm just conveying the opinions of the site in this matter.

Trying to make you understand they're point of view

Sorry, I misread your comment. Sorry.

nullActually, to answer the original question, men should share in the housework and child-raising chores, then women would be more relaxed and have more time to devote to chess. It's bad enough when you work 40 hours a week and then come home to the man of the house who won't pick up after himself or change a diaper. A foot massage would be nice, too.

I think stereotypes that used to exist aren't true anymore- many men are "house husbands", and many women work full time jobs. Most women.

Did the kindergarteners also teach you to put on an end bracket?

Stupid question that doesn't need answering as long as the reasons as to why men are more highly rated than women are not the product of discrimination.

There is only 1 gender - male. Women are objects.

You forgot attack helicopters.

JustOneUSer
There are 74 recongised genders

Judging by your profile picture, probably not . . .

Do you guys want to get this thread locked down? For relevance to chess, I'll post this game played by a woman illustrating the inability of women to play chess.
