I hope the newsletter posts pics of the winners for best dressed (daily prizes to male and female), the real drama at the event.
Millionaire Chess 3

Wow ! Just went to the MC3 site and they did !
I noticed the Wells Fargo Banks logo is no longer there as supporting the event.

Some trivial item that the regulators are being picky about. Creating false accounts (or something like that) to meet sales goals. As Trump says, that's the way business works.

First it was clocks, and now they can't afford commentary? Next year, no tables, and then the year after pieces will be missing.
Next year no tournament.
There is no MC4

Can anyone give me a summary of Millionaire Chess3? What's this all about? It looks like a new annual tournament. Does it have larger prizes?

topcop, can you tell me what planet we are on? Or what day it is?
Maybe you can Google it. Or read the ten million posts that preceeded yours.

A valuable lesson learned is that the deception plan must be based on what you want the opponent to do, never on what you want him to think.

Oh ! Richie had his pic taken with Oprah!
That must be some awesome dude, smart too !

@maskedbishop...what is the idea behind a woman as your monikers? Is it an attempt at deception?
Why does maskedbishop's avatar matter?

Simple enough. If an avatar misrepresents who they are, a guy pretends to be a gal by example, how can their words be respected? If their profile is an attempt at deception, why should anyone respect their opinion?
Also, an example of lack of support (from chess folks) is the chess movie from Disney "Queen of Katwe" that is now playing. It only made $3 million this past weekend. Now, the movie is highly acclaimed by critics so no reason why folks should not be out watching it. If the movie does well, then corporations will look at chess as a viable enterprise.
Are you sure this lack of support is on chess players' end? My wife suggested we go to a movie this week and I causally suggested it. Thing is, I've seen basically no advertising for it, and the closest theater carrying it is an hour away. In order for folks to see it it they have to A: know about it, and B: live close enough to a theater running it. Besides, Disney aren't targeting chess folks and they aren't making a chess movie. They're targeting general movie-goers with a feel-good story about the underdog overcoming the odds. Chess just happens to be the particular coat of paint applied to this particular feel-good underdog story.
Nobody wants to watch a crap movie about a weak 1400 player (Any average 1400 rated player on chess.com could beat this patzer) made to look like some sort of chess genius. A totally preposterous media creation for the sake of being politically correct and an insult to any decent chess player rated above 1400.
Do you seriously think the general audiences that Disney markets to are going to give a flying crap about what her rating is?
