Missed checkmate function seems broken?

Hello guys completely new to the site and chess in general but i am using the analysis for my games and i just had a game where i missed checkmate twice and its telling me i should have put my bishop into their base for checkmate (this is early game) and the king can just simply take the bishop with no repurcussion ... aka bishop for pawn terrible trade on my end... is there something im missing here?

Any advice is appreciated thanks.

Check my edit. "Missed Win" doesn't necessarily mean mate, it means missing a winning continuation.

ahh righto , so i was still a bit confused because even with that the bishop trade wasn't worth it but i played the scenario out a few moves ahead and i most definately come out on top however it took me about 5 moves for that to happen, my question i suppose is , is it that smart to know that in 5 moves i would have made a good play? if so thats mind blowing awesome, my move was this .

(8...  Bxf2+ 9.  Kxf2 Nxe4+ 10.  Ke2 Nxg5 11.  Nxg5 Qxg5 ) sorry if thats confusing thanks for you help though

Yes, that's the continuation that I was referring to.

It's pretty straightforward.
