I am recommending this thread be closed for further posts!! First we have a  RedSoxpawn and a  Baseballfan and there has been no mention of the 2008 champions the YANKEES This alone is proof enough to close this thread :)-

Boo the Yankees, although A-Rod did help me in my fantasy league last year.

Apparently, the Reds have the best pitching talent in a very long time. We need it playing in the ballpark we do.

The chess game would be more on par with some double A team.

I am a dyed in the wool Yankees fan, sorry it is hereditary. What I hate about baseball now and I wish the dang commissioner would get off his pompous butt and fix is, the universal pants around the ankles these days. Sloppy, disheveled and it looks atrocious. Just goes to show these guys are not interested in baseball and the fans but their steroids and their pay checks :(

Where do the Yankees or the Philles come into this, seems more like a MLB Central league forum to me

The YANKEES are yank crankers and rule with the bats :)- The red horde have not one player (coincidence) that were not implicated in the steroid scandal. The Reds have been whinning since they sold Babe to the Yanks. They win one or two and now they are a dynasty, oh please :( Same with the other Bean town team the Pats, cheat, have kids outside of marriage and declared great, oops got spanked bad didn't they :(

In all seriousness, I think Yankee fans are going to have a rough season. The Steinbrenners should have done anything and everything to keep Joe Torre, and this season will prove out why. I firmly believe that he was one of the primary reasons that they won so much, and I'm not sure that anyone can keep all those egos at bay and cushion the players from the ownership like Torre did. Then, once the Stenibrenners start overstepping Cashman like it appears they are going to do..... look out.

I think they should bring back Billy Martin see if that shakes up the team? GET RID OF A-ROD is my mantra. No good whatsoever for the Yanks. Micromanage owner Steinny is his own worst enemy. He has done more to harm the team then help but then again that is his choice since he shells out the cash!! I hope the new manager has kevlar underwear and plenty of pairs as he is going to need it under the laser beam of the fans and the owner :(

The thing with A-Rod is that while he does NOTHING in the playoffs, he is the MAN in the regular season. If the Yankees have any other third baseman last season they dont even make the playoffs. They had that lousy start and had to play some pretty good ball to get in. A-Rod was one of the main reasons that they were able to play as well as they did. So, what do you do with him?

Avatar of RedSoxpawn

send him to the Philles?

Avatar of monalisa
Sell sell sell him to anyone, get rid of him and he is not even in the shadow of Brooks Robinson or Greg Nettles. Kick the bum out, and the Yanks will profit. Same with a certain not to be named player for SF get rid of him!! Send him to bean town but they can't even afford him with the debacle of the big dig :)-
Avatar of RedSoxpawn
they could use him to hold up the big dig with all the supposed muscle
Avatar of monalisa
HAHAHA. Isn't this more fun then analyze my game, puzzle puzzle toil and tuzzle and who is cheating! Well maybe that can be modified to include a SFranYankee holding up crete in bean town :))-

My point is, if you want to make the playoffs, you CAN'T get rid of him. The dude can flat out hit. He will almost certainly break the career HR record, and has probably the best eye in the game. Without A-Rod, the Yankess can't win. Will the Yankees profit by staying home in October?

Avatar of RedSoxpawn
They probably will, but I think they should sell him also
Avatar of monalisa
I don't like him and Red S and I am in agreement, send him and his bloated muscles and salary to California !!
Avatar of RedSoxpawn
They could also use him to hold the San Andres Fault together
