It's saddening that junk threads get loads of views while high quality threads actually pertaining to chess are lucky to make the second page.  I've seen some analysis of GM games posted here that usually goes ignored. 

As for silliest thread I think the one with over a hundred pages on the "Fred" is in the running.

Seriously if you want to know, ask a real GM. Not a bunch of people who not only will shoot your dreams down for various reasons, but also probably don't even know how to make gm, otherwise they wouldn't be patzing away on chess.com.

Instead of the off topic forum, wouldn't it be better to have a forum of good threads and a 2nd division for the really crappy threads ?
