Hi!
How many pawns have you had connected on one rank? I've had 4 :P

I start most of my games with 8 pawns on one rank.  Sometimes I get it wrong though :P

yeah bigboy i think you mean how many pawns have chained on a diagnal not rank(ranks are horizontal on the board),files are vertical,and diagonals are well diagnal.and as for a pawn chain i think my biggest one was like 5 although i don't think it lasted too long.

biggest pawn chain = 5

biggest horizontal "chain" = 5 (not counting the 2nd or 7th rank obviously)
