I think the king is useless because when the king is in check you gotta save it first.

Stormbreaker-123

That could be annoying sometimes.

Most useless piece? The pawns in front of each rook!
cybergirl123

A pawn in front of each other.

Hi chess peops, I want to check which piece in chess is the most useless! Of course, King is not consider one of them because without the king, you lose! (HAHA . . . ) So, please post your opinion on the piece you dislike the most or the piece that you think is most useless.

I think Rook the most useless piece in chess, in the start of the game, it can't even move(Can only move after the first move or will stay at that corner for half of the game)! All the work is done by other pieces. Rook is only good for checking. . . .  Most of my game, I don't even use it. . . . (1 of them always stay at the corner until most of my pieces are gone) That might be my weakness.

No piece is useless dude the only thing useless is YOU

The bad Bishop in the French defense. Sometimes when I wanna be weird, I shout out to my sister, "you're that bad Bishop in the French defense!"

(Sorry for spelling, I'm on mobile.)

TCSPlayer

Haha, yes... the bad Bishop is useless except for insults!

1onlyone

some see not the game value of a piece stuck in a protective tie... staying both sides alive after a war... is no loss.

It really depends on the position.. i mean even Queen is useless if it can't stop a checkmate...

There is no such thing as a useless piece. The rook is OP on the 7th rank, and it can control files really well. Just because it can't do something at the start of the game doesn't mean it's bad. The king as well as maybe the pawn are also really good at the endgame. There is no such thing as a useless piece. Rooks can be really annoying if you have the right strategy.
