Having a goal or goals is typically a good technique to remain motivated. However, these goals need not be typical ones like increasing one's rating or preparing to do well in a specific event. A person's chess goal might be to introduce a new player to the game each month. Or one's goal could be to become a better endgame player. But without a goal, keeping motivated is more difficult, I believe.
Best wishes.
how do I keep motivated.
previously it has never been a problem for me to keep motivated playing chess.
I am in a lot of tournament otb and team match otb I need to participate so whether I am motivated or not I have to play a lot of games.
I feel like it is just a phase there I don't feel motivated therefore exiting is not an option therefore I might as well find the motivation.
any tips on how to keep motivation up?
today I completed one tournament with a +144 rating increase. it helped a bit.
