Motivation. How life of chess player looks like

Hi, I am 24 years old person from Poland who lives from chess.

I am not an IM or a GM, I am just a regular chess player (Classic 1484 ELO rating) with a goal of reaching a level of candidate for master or even a national master. I work as a chess coach and teacher at local schools and basically live from chess.

I know that we can get an inside look of how the GM's and IM's work on their game but I think that sometimes players lack a role model who is not chess god but a mortal guy just like them and who is trying his best to get best out of his potential by working hard. Someone who is just like them and he is on his own path to greatness.

I've decided to make an instagram account on which I try to post regularly the way I work out, eat, work as a coach or play in tournament. Basiaclly everything that is involved with chess in my life. I am really not interested in "likes" but I'm more interested in number of people that I can reach and affect in a positive way.

So here it is guys: polish_gambit (although I think about switching to Mr_Chess because that is how kids call me at school, what do you think about it?) follow me if you want. I do this also to promote chess. I want more people to look up to the game that I love and let them see that it requires as much dedication and hard work as any different kind of sport. Let the chess community beat a regular insta-model girls. grin.png Who's with me?

Also if some of you had already the same idea and have accounts to recommend please post them here.

Sounds like a fun idea! I don't have Instagram, unfortunately, but I don't plan on creating an account anytime soon, but I wish you the best of luck!

I dont guess you have the experience to actually portray the life of a chess player but I guess Ill take a look at your instagram.

The life of a serious chess player is:

Eat

Workout

Eat

Study Chess

Eat

Repeat process.

Bronstein Pawn, yes I agree with you about how you had described the regular day, but I just thought that if there are people that like to look into others daily routine of how to get better, then why not chess community could have someone like that.
