Logic is a philosophical term.
Want to debate what is/is not correct reasoning ?
Try going to college where you’ll find several courses offered in varying fields.
Now you are the principal!
Boy, you are really moving up the ranks! It seemed like only a few minutes ago you were just a teacher. You do like to promote yourself, don't you?
BTW : you misspelled "Principal". Try again.

That is plain.
Explaining logic is not.
You might of asked -
what is the logic of ...?
but when you demand -
explain the logic of ....
it becomes an invalid question. Logic is not something to be explained by your examples.
Plain enough?
ok - enough nonsense. GN
badbishop,
I think Long doesn't want you on his train. You are too bright for him and he can't hide when the lights are on.
No Nikki - the changes occurred in the early 8O’s before the general use of computers . It was publications- such as MCO and BCO that adopted the change. These opening books were everybody’s go to tool and read universally. Your assumption is incorrect.
That's oral history. Not everything is 100%. And it can be corrected, like so.
But who is to say it is not correct in essence? That is what oral history is, correct in essence. Who is to say that greater mechanization lead to algebraic is not correct?
I was inside the FAA headquarters when they decided that all computers would change from longitudes and latitudes into radians as their base notation.
great.. I worked with the faa from 1971 to1979 on entroute atc, raytheon cdc!

I didn't notice any dazzle. May I help?

In my opinion, logic isn't particularly a philosophic term. It describes the action of principles of mechanism in the real world and the hypothetical. If I were to define it, I'd say that logic is axiomatic, hypothetical cause and effect (depicted symbolically). Naturally, logic can be taught as part of philosophy or can form part of philosophy courses. It isn't very interesting unless you can't do it.
Has anything happened since I was here? I've looked at the most recent page and it seems to be mainly circular motion.
I see no difference between "what is the logic?" and "explain the logic". One, of course, is a question and the other either a command or a suggestion. They mean the same thing, so far as I can see.

Don't jump on the stupid train.
I took it that Long was already on the stupid train and he didn't want company as he felt safe and secure there.
long, so why don't you offer something original? Tell us something new. Go on .. you can do it! =)
