many players have been  happy and have  been saved by the day.,by erratic mouseslip blunder. what an unwelcome move by the player who has  commited it , just like touch move rule. or  release.

I know exactly what you mean! I have done that a couple times in Blitz. And it's always when I'm going in for the kill.

I offer my oponent a draw if I think they slipped. But I never ask for or accept one if I slip. I've thrown away many queen right before checkmate many times, because I was just not paying attention. I never give up, though. Sometimes it takes a few defensive moves, a little luck, and organizing the rest of my army into a minority attack to finish them off. Many times my opponent gets cocky and throws away lots of material trying to get me, or stops calculating combinations well enough, which lets me catch up.

Unless you and your opponent are rated well over 1600, a lost piece just does not matter, and even a lost queen can be dealt with. Why resign when you can practice the harder feat?

Exactly. I never give up, but I lose all the time haha. Mainly because I'm not paying attention, but I don't offer a draw if my opponent does that because I never know if they've done it or not.

Had a funny one today.  There was a logical move for the other player that would put me in check, and I just needed to move a pawn to block it.  So he moved his bishop to put me in check, and I moved the pawn to block it.  Then I realized that he moved the bishop one square short of putting me in check, but because I moved the pawn, he now had a free shot at a knight.  I wrote in the chat that I thought he was going to put me in check and didn't notice he stopped short...and he told me the mouse slipped, and that he meant to put me in check!  I lost about 10 moves later due to the missing knight.....

Done this a few times already so instead of dragging a piece to it's position i click and click instead.

I'd just play on if it's still playable. If I lose I lose, nothing changes except for some number called rating. Then I go click on another game and play... again and again until those mouseslip games become nothing I could remember...

Played a game immediately after making that post and i learned that even click and click placement isn't infallible if you're an idiot. fml.
