I have seen some people put alternative lines in their game sequences. How is this done?

then, when you have a game in the editor, you can just add variations on the board!

When entering moves click on "promote variation".  Make an alternate move and it will appear in parenthesis as a subvariation string.  Play with the diagram and you will see the idea in the text box.
