how do I join a multiday-per-move tournament using the Android app?

Tournaments > Daily
That loads an embedded browser, where you can look at upcoming tourneys and join them.
That said, it might be bugged. I know it was on the last beta release but fixed on the most recent.
when I click that I get a listing of live tournaments, all which are short time controls. Do I have to be premium to get multi-day tournaments or am I barred from joining them?

The listing of Daily are below that. If you those are blank, or you see what looks like code, then the version you are on is bugged. I know the previous beta had that error but the current one doesn't. It is likely the next regular app update will be fixed.
You can alternatively just log on with a mobile browser to look at them and join that way.
