Maybe, this might not be the fairest one, but life isn't fair
Multiple accounts on chess.com
Why did you create a new account then when you already had one lol.
- scholastic USCF tournaments (school representing accounts forced)
- preparations of anything a titled player does which makes it a bit biased while some normal members cant have their own accounts and they must lurk secretly hiding one
- for streaming chess and posting educational lessons/videos via twitch or youtube
- a secret account just for playing chess and nothing else but just playing chess
these are some of the many reasons he could have had one and it looks like he doing it for the tournament and wethor or not its for USCF if the account is forced he might have reason
You could do all that from the one account. There is no good reason to have multi accounts. Just think if everyone of us created multi accounts things would get pathetic
Yeah, but also both accounts have daily games that I'm currently playing, followed by daily tournaments that are ongoing.
It doesn't make sense why you can only have one account
It does make sense. Do you think you know better than an entire company of professionals?
Plus, exceptions are allowed.
I've seen Hikaru do this sometimes, and thought it was allowed, since he's like a god at chess.
he is the sites mascot and its biased towards him...

None of them are valid reasons imo and extremely selfish regarding the rest of the community. Make an account on another chess site like lichess if you absolutely need to play on one.
People subscribe to this site with the promise of competitive matchups. People using mutliple accounts can make it all meaningless especially at the lowest skill levels.
hikaru, magnus, levy and mostly everyone does at this point its just apart of greenpawn
Is it possible to temporaily close an account, then re-open it?
well if you choose chess as your account instead of the other then yes you can reopen
read the site rules carefully.
follow instructions to avoid banning.
suggest withdrawing from the tournament.
I see, I just closed the other account, but I can still open it if I contact support. Thx for all your help

If hikaru goes down a bridge, you will also do it?
I know, but chess.com has a very fair policy, so by just breaking it, I caused a lot of trouble.
