My analysis of Carlsen Anand 2014 game 2

Carlsen's best move was 14. B5
He moved his bishop there to take advantage of that small diagonal for strategical purposes. Anand was not able to defend along that line. Anand's reply was a6, which cost Anand a tempo, and Carlsen was able to launch a kingside attack successfully as a result. You see, Carlsen's plan in this game two was gain space on the queen side and then transfer his forces to the kingside which caught Anand of guard.

Anand is an idiot. Very mediocre player. I hope Anand will retire and give someone else a chance. Anand is washed up. I hope Carlsen will have better competition next year.

An astounding win for white by Fischer!

Heh you're so funny. not.

I think the 2nd game was a Ruy Lopez. Post no. 1 is a different game?

Pulpofeira

You hope "Anand will retire and give someone else a chance"? Actually all the contestants in last candidates tournament had that chance.

Pulpofeira

He must not be that bad if the others need him to retire to have a chance.

99% of the time when the non master "experts" give their opinion on a match, it goes something like this:

and so forth and so forth... Tongue Out

Much better is:

Stupid OP did not even manage to look at the correct game. Beyond ridiculous.

It's the sixth game of the 1972 Spassky- Fischer match, something that a good troll will never tell you.

Pulpofeira

He should have posted the Evergreen.

Pulpofeira

Not fair! Two guys facing only one!

pfren

Needless to say, today Fischer's 14.Bb5 is regarded as dubious, due to the very strong pawn sacrifice 14...Qb7! (initially suggested by Ludek Pachman) when Black is at least equal.

pfren

Well, it's not that hard to recall a game which is deservedly included to the best ever played- is it? It is a positional masterpiece, regardless of the actual accuracy of 14.Bb5.

lutak22

uh no offence here but game to started off 1. e4 1...e5

game two*
