My Arena just disappeared!

I downloaded the free Arena sometime ago and put the free Rybka in it and for weeks it played just fine. I made a shortcut to it and used that always.

Today I noticed the shortcut icon had changed to a blue and white box, and when I clicked the flashlight came on and said they could not find Arena.

First of all, what on earth happened?

And now can I just redownload it? I have forgotten which version I downloaded. Which is the more stable one?

Can anyone advise me?

And now I don't remember which free Rybka I downloaded. I need to redo the whole thing again.

I'll bet that the program is still on your drive. Why not do a search for "Arena" and see if you come up with the arena.exe file? If you find it, then creat a new shortcut.

These things sometimes happen. Why?.......I don't know.

I just did that. It said Arena.exe prefetch???????  Asked if I wanted to go on the web to find it.

I'd rather just start all over. Can someone help me, please?

I have arena 1.1 an arena 1.99 both on my desk top.1.1 IS BEST HOWEVER why not have both you will find a few chess engines will load on one an not  on the other.I LOADED the arena little opening book to both along with the arena sound file  just to get a beep when the computer moves.The program prob on your desk top in your unused desk top folder you prob.did it by accident.Arena is the best free download i have about 75 engines on both arenas each.Top uci google this its a great russian download site with all the best free engines an be sure to download strelka2.0B its a rybka fruit clone engine rated at 2978 blitz just ten points weaker than the top free download rybka 2.2n2p which is also on this great site to download.while your at top uci click on the home page icon an check out the free win engines like the new thinker engine as arena will load win and uci engines.
