Mmm, not really, but if you find it distracting then just choose a different board theme so it's not transparent!

That is... Amazing!
Probably the background would distract me, but if you picked an image that didn't distract you: then it is basically a custom chess board to whatever you want

Yeah, I agree, but I'm going to try to find a less-distracting image (that is still aesthetically pleasing!)
Hei and check out my idea of theme the post is called “new chess theme”
Pro tip: to get your theme like this, choose:
- a lovely sunset 4K png (go to settings, theme, custom background, upload)
- choose "translucent" board theme
