My chess ELO
I'm basically in the same position. I think part of the problem is that Chess.com bots make some proportion of accurate, inaccurate, and blundering moves based on their elo. You rarely get off the wall moves like you may with a lower elo opponent, which is why they're so much easier. The core thing to focus on is developing the ability to calculate, respond to threats, and play toward a goal. It's easy to develop blindspots or fall in love with a move, leading to bad positions or blunders. Simply focusing on this by drilling puzzles (while thinking systematically through all possible threats and checks) will help your game.
