Why waste your time on something as useless as chess? You've been studying hard since December and your ELO is only 900? Devote your time to something you have a natural talent for and that will make you money...Take chess as a fun activity with your family or online and not as a torture and study, you obviously have no talent for chess, buying books, lessons just wastes resources you could use elsewhere...
My Chess training programme in which order would you progress?
Dont listen to the guy above, he just wants to put you down so he has less competition. Firstly if you really love chess and are turly passioante about it and love every second of it then even if you are not "talented" you can surly reach ratings as high as 2000. Although i do not belive in talent but if you are not talented then it may take more work and study time to do that than a "talented" chess player. Also you might be talented who knows lol. From having a quick look at your profile and mainly at your rapid rating i see that there are a lot of ups and downs if ur rating from around feburary times. This can be for multiple reasons but i find that it may be from you not analysing your chess games after you have played them causing you to do the same msitakes over and over again and therefore making curves in ur rating graph. As you are still at the begginer stage i do not reccomend you read long complicated GM book as those wont get you anywhere till you get the fundementals down. I would say its okay to read books and stuff till u get to about 1200 elo as that is where you have reached the intermidiate level and are ready to learn new advanced teqniques. For you to improve at this stage i would say to never learn openings but rather focus on opening principles and keeping solid. If someone tries a gambit on you, even if you are not familiar as long as you keep solid you will be fine. "keeping solid" means being fine with givng the lost material back in exchange for some development. Middle games and stuff you can milk out fro youtube videos easily and with much less effort. Endgames is the same as openings keep the principles strong and you should be fine for most endgames. Of course you should learn the basic checkmating patterns and how to checkmate with a rook and a queen and stuff. I am telling you my opinion, just cuz i said to not read books dosent mean you shouldnt but it would be more efficient to do otherwise. If you love chess books then go ahead and read them, chess is suppoused to be fun at the end of the day. the queens gambit and petrov are great openings to learn as they hold simple opening ideas. Over time if you analyse your games properly you will know what to do in certain situations anyways so dont worry about that. Sorry for structuring this response in a really bad way but i hope this helps. KEEP CHESS FUN ![]()
