Delete button is missing! WTH is going on?
YOU TOO?? That communist has been running around the forums STEALING all the delete buttons. Erik has put a bounty on his head, and Navy Seals are after him. The mob wants a piece of him too, and they don't care which piece. If you SEE him, contact staff immediately. DO NOT approach him. He's VERY dangerous, and he's off his medication. He can't get that far. A bag of 10 million delete buttons has got to weigh a ton.

Same here, so now I have all of these messages I can't get rid of. How do we fix this?
You open the message, then you put it in archive. That will be $364. please.
Seriously, someone knows why the delete button was changed to archive button?
Its was replaced in preparation of rooling out version 3 of chess.com.

You will be required to supply your own "delete" buttons. Chess.com has run out, mostly due to theft.

I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, we recently had to make some changes to the messaging system in preparation for the new site version release. Messages for the time being will not be shown as deleted but they will auto-delete once the messaging system is integrated completely. Everything will go back to normal when v3 is released :)
I’m recalling now that I responded to you in the forums!
What I didn’t tell you in the forums is the auto-deletion, so anything you “delete” now, will just poof away when it’s updated :)

ouch...I really thought that all the buttons were stolen when the server was hacked.
Don't worry everyone. Remember what Chess.com said about V3 and fixing V2. Its like refurnishing a house when you plan to demolish it anyway. This archive thing is a bug we are all experiencing. Chess.com won't fix it because V3 is planned to operate in August.
