My apologies.. I forgot to put the "www" first...
I took a quick look at your site today. The impression is it contains lot of opening theory. Like like how to play the Grunfeld.
I'm not sure if your really think a 1500 player should play/learn Grunfeld or not. But as you said, your site is for under 1800 players. Opening theory is not a important for this group of players which I belong.
But I shall bookmark your site and give it a try.
Hello all,
i am a 1900 (uscf) player and I’ve coached scholastic players for going on 7 years now. I’ve coached a high school team in the Chicago area from being unrated to averaging rating of about 1350 (8 players). My two best went from 1100-1200 to 1777 and 1858 in two years.
I have served the chess community with a lot of my own time and money and money because I enjoy watching others get better.
Now, www.quickchesscoach.com, is the continuation of my methodology with the high school players. In it, I write my thoughts on chess and analyze games ... I’ve seen post on here offering coaching services, but I figure before I offer you that I would rather show you what I do... and if you never want lessons, you get some free material.
i can hear the voices now “but you aren’t 2300, I got an IM in Serbia to give me lessons for $12/hour!” Yeah, but do they articulate well.. are they over your head. I have a theory that to get value as a rising 1200-1500 player you’re better off learning from a well articulated 1900 ... and then, when you demonstrate a certain level ... now you’re ready to get every ounce of value out of your GM lesson dollars.
Anyway, it’s free... it’s my passion. And I hope you get something out of it.
Additionally, if you are a school or player from an underserved/underprivileged background I will help you for free... email me at joeanthonychess@gmail.com. I have google docs full of openings and game analysis from high school players from unr-1858.
Thank you and may chess resources only multiply...
