My percentile is 98.2% and it shows how many players have a lower rating than me. Is this good? How much FIDE Elo would a player with 98.2% get?

only 1.8 people out of a 100 are better then you so i would consider that good happy.png

To be in the top 98.2% of anything proves you are good at it. If we were talking IQ scores here that’s over 2 standard deviations from the norm (being 100… IQ I mean)

IMO 98.2 percent is good but I think people at this percent online wouldn’t be at that percent OTB. It probably would be 70% OTB but I do not know.

IMO percentile is not something to be concerned since there are many dormant accounts and cheating accounts

Well, actually it is percentage of accounts active in the last 90 days...so I don't think that dormant accounts have a big influence.

I just checked and I'm 99.8% in rapid.

This is me in Rapid: 129 games. 62 wins (48%). 62 losses (48%). 5 draws (4%).

Best win: against rating 1036.
Average opponent rating (over 3m) 712.

Pretty bad next to some of the guns on here, but not bad for someone who hasn’t played consistently for over 20 years.

Yeah I suck. I know… haha
