After years of hearing about the Myers Brig personality test and thinking it was total b.s I finally took the test when a tinder date asked what I was. I wasn't expecting much but when the description for my personality type came up I was kind of surprised about how accurate some of the information was about my personality. It classified me as INTP, and even mentioned that I would like puzzles, strategy games, and logic riddles. After doing some more research, I found this study about personality types and visual spatial ability which suggests INTP personality types are the most apt for visual-spatial games like chess. Here is the link: http://research.similarminds.com/intelligence-test-performance-and-myers-briggs-type/28. And here is the test itself: http://similarminds.com/intdoor.html. Try out the test and see how you do. If someone can explain problem 14 for me that would be nice haha. After looking more into the link between personality types and chess, I read something that said almost everyone who plays chess is either an INTP,INTJ, INFP, ENTP,or ENTJ. With the NT common for everyone.
