need help improving
You are overlooking checks an captures, which is the most important thing. Until you do something about that, you should not play blitz or even bullet.
i'm not gonna help if you're gonna lie about your OTB rating. 1100 cc and 1500 otb? lol
i just made this account bro and ive been playing otb for years
You have 700 games that's enough to get an established rating
Notice how there's a real 1500 OTB player above you who's 2000 on cc

In fairness to OP (kinda) I wouldn’t judge his rating by my disparity - I haven’t played much OTB classical and much of it was 2+ years ago so it’s definitely a much lower rating than I probably should have! My fide blitz is nearly 1700, so 1500ecf is not likely an accurate reflection.
that said, 1100 on cc would likely get demolished at most tournaments otb, so a 1500 rating is still unlikely.
Chess is pattern recognisation. Just like smether mate, people saw queen diagonal support knight that can deliver check to draw up hidding king and then double check with queen and knight . On the board, there are only four square we need to remember for knight to jump and deliver check namely c7, f7, c2, f2 and king need to be in 4 correspondent square a1,a8,h1,h8 . The other thing is to make sure opponent no queen on backrank. Once the pattern is implanted into the memory next time it is easy for you to create that pattern. Another simple pattern is ladder mate with rook or queen, is the same theories.
hey guys, I’m around 1500 Elo right now(otb), and it feels like my playstyle has hit a ceiling. I know some theory and have a decent understanding of tactics and strategy, but I don’t feel like my games are actually improving anymore. It’s not just that I’m stuck at this rating I feel like my overall gameplay isn't improving although I play regularly, both online and otb, in blitz and rapid formats. Any tips or advice?
