Not to mention the games on the current Live Chess are just about lag free. On the old Live, the lag was awful. But people only care about chatting, and not so much about the improved chess, so they complain. Idiots. They'd rather go back to the old piece of you know what so they can chat here and there and play laggy chess, rather then be patient and wait for something 100% better.

I was stunned by the number of comments on Live Chess 2 Sunday as the new
product debuted. Here are a few reasons why you should remain positive:
1) Negative thinking can create a never-ending loop.
History is dotted with geniuses who have destroyed themselves. Poe (we just celebrated his 200th here in Virginia), Hemingway, and yes Fischer quickly come to mind. Try to will yourself to be positive every day, the way Jack Nicklaus used to do with his mind to make putts.
2) We are playing people in other countries!!!!!!!!!!!! We are really taking this fact for granted folks, but today I played a bunch of Live Chess 2 games against a guy from Iraq (he won all but one, I am so slow). This is incredible, and we should never forget it. I have never been to Asia but I have played people there.
I live right near NASA, and I am always amazed by people who complain about it, even though it costs 1/2 of 1% of the National Budget. And in return,
we have medical advances that allow us to live to 80+ instead of 60 and we
have great technology such as, oh yeah computers.
3) A Diamond yearly membership costs about $100 a year, not much when you
consider what Americans and Europeans spend on clothes, shoes, food,
and so forth. And a lot of people enjoy many of the benefits here for free. Three hours per day is a thousand hours a year, that's ten cents per hour!
4) The staff here works extremely long hours to improve this site, and negative
comments are the last thing they need to hear, a constructive comment
would be much better.
5) We all live in different time zones yet we all connect to one server and there's only a few seconds lag time. And we complain about this?
6) Live Chess 3 is on the way probably before the holidays.
