d4 is my favourite opening in Atomic. If you are White and Black and play f6, you can easily counter with f3. Any Black move doesn't matter unless they block the Queen's Pawn. Push the pawn forward, and escort the pawn until inevitably Black captures the pawn. Swoop down with the Queen to deliver a king elimination via Qxd7.
