I’ve been playing chess since I was little. I never really pursue a chess career because I was more into design and engineering, as a result I became a mechanical engineer. furthermore, In my years as a chess player,I have not seen a chess clock design that matches the technological advances that we now live in, so I set out to create my own version of a chess clock, one chess clock where there’s not buttons but instead an app where you can program the time settings into it, rechargeable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. I was wondering if this is something that you guys are interested, in order for me to continue further development of it. I have some pictures here of what my current prototype looks like. Please let me know what you guys would expect from a new chess clock redesign or if you guys aren’t interested at all. Thank you
I think that getting your phone and going onto the app would be more of a hassle than just mechanical buttons. That’s why people still like to have physical buttons on their cars instead of haptic ones. Although it sounds modern, it’s just not practical.
