New chessboard invention

Hi. I'm a frequent player here. Just wanted to introduce my new chessboard invention called Preset Chess. It stores the chess pieces in their starting positions, so you can instantly start a game. Also helps to prevent loss of pieces, and basically just a new design piece in high quality wood (for those who still like to play in person sometimes). It's travel size. Thanks for checking it out! Would love any feedback. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1345325960/preset-chess-the-chessboard-that-sets-itself

One of the few ideas I've seen in such topics that I didn't think was total crap lol

I like it

Seems like a legitimately good idea to me.

Seems like a great idea, but it seems to me that the pieces have to be standing in exactly the center of their squares otherwise the cover won't fit.

A speedloader chess set?  Is this for bullet games?

@LizzieAussie I think when putting it away you would place the pieces in their respective holes and then cover them with the board.

Watch the video in the link. That's not how you put it away ;). Although if the pieces were perfectly squared up I can't imagine that you couldn't put it back that way...

Or, what he said.

I was expecting yet another needlessly complicated variant that will "revolutionize chess forever". This, on the other hand, is a legit cool idea.

LizzieAussie

I didn't think that practical ;)
