• Witch(W) - The witch is transparent to friendly pieces, and she also makes all adjacent pieces (friend and foe) transparent to friendly pieces (but pieces are not transparent for the witch). The witch does not capture other pieces, but she can be captured. Although pieces are not transparent to the witch, she is very agile; she combines the movement of queen, knight, and can jump orthogonally and diagonally two squares. Transparency of a piece means that other pieces can move, attack, and capture right through the piece.
• Time Thief  

  (TT) - The Time Thief moves like a Queen, but does not have a normal capture. The Time Thief has a special move that is done in 2 steps.

  1. Undo your opponents previous move (restore position to exactly the same as before, which might include putting back a captured piece).
  2. Move your time thief (like a queen) and capture the piece that moved on your opponents previous turn.

  The Time Thief may not undo a move if the Time Thief was captured or if it is unable to capture the piece that moved after undoing the move.

  Note that this means the Time Thief must "see" the piece before it moved.

  From this it follows, that a King in reach of a Time Thief would put himself into check by moving away.

  [ADDED BY @evert823] The rules for Time Thief include rules for conditional check, which haven't been mentioned above. Conditional check means that a King can be captured, but thereafter be restored by the Time Thief in such a way that the King will no longer be in check or again in conditional check.

 Well part of the point of the tournament is to train the very used piece (the witch) and a quite used and slightly complex piece (the time thief), but if both players don't want to that's fine I'm not going to force anybody (the point is to have fun).

Also if people want the loser of game1 could play the loser of game4 and loser of game3 vs the one of game2. The idea being that half of players have never played before while some players have got quite a lot of experience (rychessmaster1 was second in the world at one point). Though I'm only suggesting and if somebody doesn't want to do that it's not a problem.

Everybody except for aaron (EDIT: now contacted) and fluffy tree kutta have been contacted. So the players who are inactive will be forfeited on Friday if a game is not organized.

who will mod the games?

I will only be able to mod my own game because I will be travelling soon for quite a long time (6 weeks at least). Modding is quite easy though it does take some time to set up. Basically you need to copy a board from this forum topic https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/bulldog-chess-templates. Then you copy multiple times the third image. You then cut the image to be the piece you want. You put the piece on the foreground and move it to the right square.

It takes a bit of time to set up so I would be prepared to send you my word document with the board set up if you give me your email address.

I would like to join if someone doesn't show up.

Aidanb1 it's possible, the one problem is it would mess up the seeding.

Also didn't you play more then 3 months ago? I can see comments about ended games of yours that date back to march.
