My idea of chess game mode is that the game will be mimicking how siege works in real-life wars but mostly stays the same as regular chess game.
The difference is that white doesn't have time but can only win if it can capture the king (not check/ check mate); for black, it can win if it win (obviously) or draw, but if black pieces get captured, time for black will be reduce faster.
What do you think about it? good or bad?
note: I'm not sure if a general chess discussion is a proper place for this or not.
it makes no sense. to capture the king, you have to checkmate it. but if you checkmate it, your opponent can't make a legal move. which means you never get another turn, because the game is over.
Yeah...., tbh I'm not thinking that far when I'm imagining this new idea of mine, like my priorities was interesting first and for it logical is basically I put it in the trash.
