Due to an increase of interest lately, I will be expanding the number of students I can take. In the last few years I have given lessons to dozens of chess playes, but never more than a couple at a time. I will now be expanding to allow ten new students the oppurtunity to learn. I focus on teaching begginers up through 1600 online. I also have an otb lesson plan for those who want to focus on their chess otb as well. All pricing is highly negotiable. If you are interested, post on here and or send me a pm. And then challenge me to an unrated game for a test run. Good luck in all your games!

Sure I am rated aroung 1600 USCf, I am rated mid 1800 online. I want to coach up to 1600 ONLINE rating. I have coaced online for a few years now, dozens of students in several countries during that time. I also coach students in person, including sevreal of my school chess team members who knew very little before hand. I am not going to make people masters, my goal is to get begginers and intermediate players to the next level.

live chess I use to relax and unwind, but if people want those rating higher I will aim get 1400 buttet, 1600 blitz, 1700 standard by the first week in january.

Hope this helps! feel free to post most question, the tougher and more informative they are, the more they will help everyone.

You aren't even an expert player therefore you are not able to coach intermediate players. You do not have the chess ability to coach people that are any level above beginner.

Your post was a waste man. He already said his focus was on coaching beginners, so posting that he "doesn't have the ability to coach people that are any level above beginner" was not only irrelevant, but just makes you look like an envious hater.

To be a good coach you don't need to be a good player.

He says in his post " my goal is to get begginers and intermediate players to the next level" and "I will aim get 1400 buttet, 1600 blitz, 1700 standard" yet he isn't even at intermediate or these levels on chess.com. It's like you didn't even read his latest post.

In chess, you 100% need to be a good player to be a good coach.

In that case, maybe I was harsh in coming to that hasty conclusion, but I think if he's had success in the past and has demand from people who want his coaching, that's pretty much his business. Know what I mean?

Although, I know you're probably just looking out for the best interest of his prospective students, but as long as they see enough proof to make them feel good about the arrangement, what the rest of us think about it probably shouldn't factor in too heavily.

Intermediate is 1400-1800 last I checked, so the 1400-1600 online would fall into that. Also those rating are for online not live. Not all the rating mean the same thing, you already know that though.

No I apprciate the commentary, and he is right, I should not yet be coaching strong players such as him, but as I have stated that is not my goal. All my best coaches have not been the highest rated, but the best at understanding what the student needs
